Good news!  A federal court in Rochester has granted final approval of the $975,000 class action settlement between RG&E and over 450 current and former employees represented by Local 36.  The settlement resolves allegations that for years RG&E regularly required and/or permitted hourly employees to perform pre-shift work "off the clock" and without compensation.  Many thanks to Local 36's own Craig Rode, Jeff Hagadorn, and David Ortega for leading the charge as the representative plaintiffs in the case.  Local 36 also worked very hard to make sure that this case was a success and is proud that its efforts will result in significant monetary payments to its members.  Class members who signed and returned valid claim forms can expect to receive payment in about 6 to 8 weeks.
