Since the New Year kicked off, myself and everyone at Local 36 have been working hard to ensure that our new contracts are fair and equitable for the membership. We are currently in negotiations on three contracts. At RG&E, the Energy Control Center and the Restoration Coordinator negotiations are ongoing. We are also scheduled to begin negotiations on the PeopleReady contract on March 15th and 16th. That contract will expire at the end of March. I would also like to encourage anyone who works at RG&E to look into the class action lawsuit that has been filed and if you were affected to make sure you sign up. I have provided more information below.
Local 36 has also decided to give out t-shirts to all of the members. We have now received these shirts and will be distributing them at the March meeting which will be held on March 2nd at 4:30 PM. As usual IBEW Local 86, 2300 East River Road Rochester, is generously letting us use their hall for the meeting. I hope to see all of you at the meeting.
